Our Approach To Eco Lingerie and Ethical Fabrics

Silk has always played a major role in our ranges but we are slowly exploring new options that are environmentally friendly and cruelty free, whilst also offering the same level of luxury. Our aim has always been to produce our collections as ethically as possible, but we have found it difficult to source the right fabrics. We are excited to introduce you to our current collections of Ethical Lingerie and to explain to you how these fabrics are made differently compared to less ethical alternatives.

Ethical Production At Ayten Gasson

Ethical production is extremely important to us at Ayten Gasson and we aim to be as sustainable as possible in the way we run our business.   We make all our pieces in our Brighton boutique, meaning there is minimal carbon footprint on our lingerie. We also use UK suppliers as much as possible and use natural fibres such as silk and cotton as our base fabrics, which reduces plastic pollution.   In an attempt to limit wastage we also only make a few of each style at a time, which means that we are not left with any dead stock. Eluxe Awards 2017 - Best Lingerie Brand Winner

We are delighted to announce that we have been named Best Lingerie Label in the first ever Eluxe Awards. The accolade, which has been organised in conjunction with this year’s Green Fashion Week, honours excellence in the sustainable luxury market .   Eluxe is the leading publication celebrating ethical luxury and honour brands they believe run their businesses in a responsible manner while still retaining a stylish edge. Eluxe said that we “exemplified local manufacture and lowered carbon footprint, as well as supporting the local community and industry”. A Mindful Moment Event Featuring Ayten Gasson

We are constantly striving to produce our pieces as ethically as possible and try to support other businesses that follow a similar ethos as much as we can. We are therefore very proud to announce that we are contributing to A Mindful Moment, an event organised by Khoollect, taking place on Thursday 2nd February.
